Ingredients: (serves 5)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon ginger / garlic mixture
2 tablespoons oil or melted ghee
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic (slivered fine)
2 chopped tomatoes
1 chilli (slit)
Chopped coriander leaves
A few curry leaves
Put dholl and about 2 glasses of water in your pressure cooker. Add tumeric, ginger/garlic and salt. Cover and cook till dholl is mushy.
Heat oil in another pot. Fry onion and garlic, add tomatoes, chilli, coriander, curry leaves and some more salt. When a thick gravy is obtained, add dholl mixture.
Simmer for about 3-4 minutes more. Serve hot with rice.
